Making a leaving card for someone you work with can be very rewarding as you can personalise the card and embellish it with items you know that person is interested in. The person I made this leaving card for enjoys wine.
This retirement card focuses on a wine theme however you can adjust the theme by changing the decoupage to suit whoever the card is for.
First, create a square shape. I made my card 15cm x 15cm however you may want to adjust the sizes to make sure your decoupage fits. Cut a square from the front, again making sure your decoupage will fit in the centre.
Use double sided tape to attach the red paper to the inside of the front of the card, this will cover the square you have cut out. It is important to make sure the coloured side is at the rear or if possible use a double sided paper so both sides are coloured then you shouldn’t have any problems.
Open the card up so the front is facing you and cut from corner to corner where you have just placed the red paper.
You should now have a wonderful leaving or retirement card to give to someone, to wish them well for the future.
