This graduation card is perfect for someones graduation from college or university and because the colors are not specific to a male of female this graduation card design could be used to congratulate either on their success.

Begin making this graduation card by folding a sheet of A4 card for card making in half (297mm x 210mm). The best way to achieve a clean crisp fold is to use a score board and bone tool.

Place a strip of organza ribbon across the length of the front of the card. The ribbon I have used is 1.5″ wide. Use strong double sided tape to secure it in place. Then fold the ends around the card and secure it on the back of the graduation card using sellotape. You will need to cover the inside of the card to hide this.

Use decorative scissors to cut a a strip of black card 297mm long and 1″ wide.

Place the black card across the center of the organza ribbon using double sided tape.

Cut two oval shapes from black and white card. The white card needs to be 5mm smaller than the black card.

I used a Fiskars oval shape cutter to create the oval shapes for this handmade graduation card.

Attach the white circle on top of the black circle using double sided tape.

Attach the two oval shapes to the left hand side of the card and secure it in place using double sided tape.

Place a graduation embellishment in the oval shape. I have used Jolee’s Boutique dimensional stickers.These stickers are great because they are made from material and you will have a selection of graduation themed stickers that work really well together.

You then need to add some small diploma embellishments along the black strip of card. I have used Jolee’s Boutique caps and diplomas dimensional stickers. These stickers are really well made and have a nice jewel in the center. The stickers already have 3d foam on the back so all you have to do is peel and stick them to your graduation card.

Print the words ‘Congratulations’ and ‘ On Your Graduation’ on to a piece of white card and cut out into blocks. You can also use rub ons, stickers, peel offs or even hand write the graduation wording if you prefer.

Mount the wording onto red card so it corresponds with the organza ribbon.

Place the wording on the right hand side of the card using double sided tape. place a small owl embellishment in the top left hand corner of the card. I have used a Jolee’s Boutique graduation owl dimensional sticker because the sticker stands out and are sparkly.

Once your graduation wording is in place your graduation card is complete and will be a wonderful way to congratulate someone you care about.
