Making an Easter card is a lot of fun and with just a few craft materials you can produce a handmade but professional looking Easter card. Making Easter cards is also a good way of getting children invovled in in this lovely pastime.
Begin making your Easter card by folding a sheet of card in half. You can use a metal edge ruler and scalpel to do this however you will need to take care not to go through the card by pressing down to hard. I personally prefer to use score board and bone tool as this ensures a perfect fold.
Cover the front of the Easter card with Easter egg themed paper.
Select an Easter themed picture to be used as a topper on the front. If you do not have a picture you can always use an Easter themed rubber stamp which you can color with gel pens or any coloring medium.
Mount the image onto a piece of card that matches the background paper. Leave a small border around the edge approximately 1cm thick.
Find some organza ribbon that matches the paper in your craft supplies. Place the ribbon on the left hand side and tie a bow near the top.
Place the Easter picture or topper near the top and secure it in place with 3d foam.
With the left over Easter egg paper, cut out lots of Easter eggs. These will be used to make the front of the card 3d.
Place small pieces of 3d foam on the front where the Easter eggs are.
Next, place all the little Eggs on top of the 3d foam making them all stand out.
To make the card wording you will need to either print, stamp or use stickers. Place the wording onto some patterned scrapbook paper then mount it onto the same card as you have used for the image on the front.
Finally, place the wording on the front of the card using 3d foam pads, and you should now have a cute Easter card to give to someone you care about.
Wow that is so cute!! Am very new to card making but loving it. Love your site.. esp this Easter card… So pretty… Off to get supplies..
