This teddy bear handmade birthday card would suit a wide range of ages and would be just as appropriate as a get well card or thank you card by simply changing the wording on the front.
The card consists of a pyramid decoupage which gives a specialized look to this handmade card.
Decoupage prints can be picked up in most good craft stores and are generally reasonably priced. As always, ensure any paper used is acid and lignin free so the colours of the decoupage stay nice a bright.
The first thing you need to do here is put together your decoupage using 3d foam pads. If you are new to decoupage you can learn how to decoupage here. As you can see from the above photo each section is placed on top of the other at alternate angles making the image come together in the form of a star shape.
These decoupage sheets are really easy to cut out as they have straight edges, unlike normal decoupage prints which can be quite fiddly cutting around the actual images.
Place the decoupage onto a piece of cream paper or card for card making using double sided tape. Make sure you attach it to the top of the paper so the bottom section can be used for additional embellishments and your birthday card wording.
Next, find some blue spotty ribbon in your craft supplies and place this across the bottom section of the cream card. Use double sided tape to hold it in place and tuck the ends of the ribbon around the back of the card. You can use scotch tape on the back as this will not be seen.
Use a computer to print your happy birthday wording onto white card in your chosen font. Mount the happy birthday wording onto light blue card. If you do not have access to a printer you can rubber stamp the words and emboss them if you wish.
Place the words in the middle of the strip pf ribbon securing them in place using double sided tape
Next, place the cream panel onto some light blue card stock leaving a 1cm gap all the way round.
Finally fold a sheet of white card in half and place the entire panel you have just made onto the front of the card.
Sometimes when I want to make a card I find myself staring at a blank folded card and wondering how I am going to decorate it. This is when decoupage saves the day. A decoupage image is usually the focal point on a homemade card so all you have to do is find some matching papers and a few embellishments and your done.
its so nice! cant wait to make one of my own,

I am very interested in finding out where you bought these decoupage prints.
