The papers used to make this card were K&Company Sparkly Sweet Specialty 12-by-12-Inch Paper Pad, which are fantastic quality and it makes it so much easier to make a card and have the papers match when you use papers from the same paper pad.
Begin making this Mothers Day card selecting a sheet of white A4 card for card making and folding it three times evenly as shown above. If you card does not divide exactly into four even blocks you can always trim off a small section at the end using a paper trimmer to make it even.
Cut the card so it is 15cm tall using a paper trimmer or scalpel and metal edge rule
From a separate sheet of white card, cut a strip 8cm thick and the same width as your original card, make the same folds in this piece of card using a craft score board.
Cover the two center pieces of the card with the same colored paper and the end pieces with a different paper. Fold the edges of the card over and place a brad in each corner. This will be the ‘tag holder’ section of your Mothers Day card.
Place double sided tape around each edge at the bottom of the original card you cut to 15cm, and make sure you only put tape where the ‘tag holder’ section will be placed.
Place the ‘tag holder’ section of the card on top pressing down firmly where the double sided tape has been placed.
Cut four tag shapes using the measurements shown above. The top part is 2cm, the angled part is 3.5cm, the side is 8cm and the bottom width is 5.5cm.
Use matching papers to decorate each of the tags. Place an eyelet through the top of each of the tags using a Crop-A-Dile eyelet setter. Place ribbon through each eyelet.
You can now place the tags behind each piece of tag holder section of your Mothers day card. You can use the tags to write Mothers Day messages on.
Close the card as you are now going to focus on decorating the front of your mothers day card.
Cut a piece of blue card 7cmx14cm using decorative scissors.
Use a Mothers day rubber stamp and silver embossing powder
or peel off sticker and place it onto green paper using double sided tape. Mat and layer your Mothers Day message onto green and then silver card.
Cut some flowers from scrapbook paper using good quality scissors.
Stick both the Mothers Day Message and the flowers onto the blue card.
Attach the blue panel to the front of the card using double sided tape. You can embellish the card further by adding messages to the tags inside the card.
A Mothers day card that any mother would love to receive.
