This is a simple greeting card design for a female friend’s birthday. As the tag on the font has a large message it means there is very little embellishing to be done.
To make this greeting card select a piece of purple A4 card stock from your card making supplies and fold it in half.
Next, find a strip of lilac or a different shade of purple card stock and cut it the same length as the front of the card but half the width.
Find a large patterned rubber stamp and a selection of different shades of purple inks. If you do not like these colours or do not have them in your supplies simply choose whatever colours you do have.
Dab all the different inks all over the background stamp.
Press the stamp down firmly onto the card using the palm of your hand.
You may need to stamp the pattern more than once to cover the entire piece of card.
Use double sided tape to attach the strip of card to the left hand side.
To make the tag for your card message select a large luggage tag that covers most of the front of the card. If you do not have one in your craft supplies you can easily make your own using a piece of white card and cut it into a tag shape using a scalpel and metal edge ruler.
Use the same rubber stamp and ink to stamp a pattern all over the tag.
Use a craft punch or eyelet setter to attach an eyelet into the top of the tag.
Pass some purple organza ribbon through the eyelet and tie it together.
Using a computer, print a card message or verse that relates to the friend you want to send the greeting card to. You may have a rubber stamp that will do the same job.
Mat and layer the verse onto silver mirror card and then purple card using double sided tape.
Place the wording on the front of the tag. You can use 3D foam or double sided tape for this.
To finish off this greeting card for a friend place the tag on the front of the card at a slight angle.
