Begin making this handmade Christmas greeting card by selecting a piece of A4 white card from your card making supplies and fold it in half so that the folded edge is on the left hand side.
Use a CD to draw a circle and a semi circle on the card.
Make sure the edges of the circle and the semi circle reach the edge of the card so that once you cut it out you will still have a join.
Use the same CD to draw another circle on blue scrapbook paper or card.
Next, cover the bottom semi circle with the blue card using double sided tape. Cut away the excess blue card, so only the semi circle is covered.
Using a sharp pair of scissors or scalpel cut away all the excess white card leaving you with a snow globe shape.
Use a compass to draw two circles one smaller than the other. The two circles will be put together to form the snowman’s head and body. They can be as small or as large as you wish but make sure they fit inside the large circle of the snow globe when put together.
Cut the circles out using scissors.
Draw and cut out a hat shape from black card to go on your snowman’s head.
Place the hat on top of the smaller circle slightly to one side. Secure the hat in place using double sided tape. Draw a face on the snow man using black pen and cut a small carrot shape from orange card to use as the nose.
Place the snowman head on top of the body and secure in place using double sided tape.
Tie a knot in a small piece of blue spotted ribbon and place on the snowman to create a bow tie. Secure the ribbon in place using a sticky dot or really strong double sided tape.
Cut some arms from brown Bazzill cardstock and adhere to the snowman’s body using double sided tape.
Cut another circle using the same CD as a template from some white card.
Use a piece of sponge and some blue ink to brush some ink around the edge of the circle and lightly overt the centre. Doing this will create a less ‘Stark’ centre of the snow globe.
Place the snowman in the centre of the circle using 3D foam.
Use liquid pearls or small white beads to create a snow effect and decorate the bottom of the snow globe with ribbon.
Your handmade Christmas greeting card should now be finished and look really festive and fun.
