The handmade Christmas card I have made here is just about suitable for anyone and a card I really enjoyed making.
To start making your Christmas card you will need to find a piece of A4 card in your card making supplies. Fold the card in half and cut it, so it is 5”X5”. I have used white card stock here however you will be covering the front so any colour will do. You could even use Christmas colours such as red, green, gold or silver so the back of the card has some colour to it.
Cover the front of the card using Christmas scrapbook paper. You may even use some Christmas wrapping paper if it is of very good quality. Use double sided tape to attach the Christmas themed paper to the front of the card.
Cut out lots of different Christmas presents from different coloured papers and place them on top of each other so they look like a pile of gifts. You can secure them in place at the back using tape.
You will need to mount this onto card to give it some strength.
Decorate the gifts with whatever you have that sparkles in your craft supplies. Use little diamonds, glitter, ribbon or little jewels if you have them.
Place the parcels onto the front of your Christmas card using 3D foam to lift them from the front of the card. Position the presents so that they appear to be falling and tumbling down.
You can at this point, add your Christmas card wording. Here I have placed ‘ fa la la la la’, again I have used 3d foam pads.
This handmade Christmas card is very cost effective because it uses very few inexpensive craft materials and is so easy to make for card making beginners.
