21st Birthday Card Idea

Card Making IdeaThis 21st birthday card idea is for a girl who loves glitz and glamour.

It is quite simple to make and a little bit different and you should be able to make this 21st birthday card from the bits and bonbs you already have in your card making supplies.

Making a Greeting CardI used plain white card stock and folded it in half (please note the picture above is the front of the card once it has been folded). You can use any colour as the front of the card is going to be covered so use up whatever you have lots of in your craft supplies. I then selected two different sheets of paper. One was animal print scrapbook paper and one was denim scrapbook paper.

Next I attached each sheet to half of the front of the card and secured it in place using double sided tape

.

Sequins for a greeting cardI then found these sequins in my card making supplies. The sequins are gold and really glitzy.

Card Making I used a very strong thin double sided tape to hold the gold sequins in place down the centre of the card.

happy birthday wordingI wanted to add the words ‘happy birthday’ as my card message so I found these large scrapbook letters and decided I would use them for the first letter of each word.

Birthday card wording I wanted the letters to stand out so I used 3D foam to attach them to the front of the card. I placed one letter on each side of the card.

Birthday message To finish the wording I used sliver peel off stickers.

Peel off card stickersTo finish the card off I needed to make it clear that it was a 21st birthday card so I added large silver peel off numbers.

I like this 21st birthday card idea as it is funky and cool.

  1. Vicky, again it was hard to understand. The decorated parts, are the front or the back of the card and if it is the front, why do we fold it? because one part becomes the back of the card and the sequins in the center would make it hard to fold the card. Forgive if I’m so stupid to understand. Thank you for helping me.

      Hi Iris

Instructions eh, don’t you just hate them! ;)

I do try to make them as simple as possible but now I’ve looked at this again I totally see what you mean.

What I should have shown was a picture of a piece of white DL sized card stock folded in half. The first picture above is actually the front of the card which has already been folded over.

I have changed the instructions to try and point this out so other card makers don’t get confused. Thanks for flagging this up ;)

Let me know if you’re still unsure.

    • No problem Nafx.

I’m making some Christmas cards at the moment but as soon as they are finished I will make some 21st Birthday cards

      Watch this space ;)
