It is always nice to receive a get well soon card when feeling under the weather and giving someone a homemade get well soon card is even better as it shows the recipient you are really thinking of them, as you have taken the time and trouble to make them a unique card.
Pyramid 3d decoupage sheets can be purchased from any good craft store.
Pyramid decoupage is really easy to make because it consists of little squares that are numbered, making it really easy to work out which one goes where. Simply follow the steps placing number 2 on number 1, number 3 on number 2 and so on.
You will also see marking on each picture showing you exactly were the images should go.
Use 3d foam pads for each layer so that each piece is slightly raised. Once all the pieces are together mount the 3d decoupage onto black card and cut out leaving a small border.
This get well soon cards size is going to be C5. For this you will need to find an A4 sheet of black card stock in your card making supplies and fold it in half.
Draw a line with pencil approximately 2 inches in from the edge on the right hand side of the fold card (the front).
Cut this section of the card away using a pair of decorative scissors
Place a sheet of blue paper on the back of the front flap so that the blue is showing where you have just removed the black piece of card. Use double sided tape to hold this in place
Doing this not only adds some colour it also makes the decorative edge of the card stand out.
Place the mounted 3d decoupage onto a larger strip of the same blue paper. Make sure the blue paper fits on the front of the card and also leaves a black border (refer to finished picture to be clear).
I have used a pearl paper as it has a slight sparkle to it.
Use double sided tape to secure the decoupage in place.
Place the panel on the front of the card using double sided tape.
Next find some blue patterned ribbon in your card making supplies and thread a large blue button through it. Create a loop at the end of the ribbon.
Attach the ribbon to the bottom of the card using double sided tape.
Finally you will need to add some get well soon messages. On this card I have used the words ‘get well soon’ as a simple message using peel off stickers.
If you do not have any black peel off stickers for the wording then it is really easy to colour them using a black marker pen as I have done so here.
If you wanted to personalise the card further you could even add the name of the person under the get well soon message or even put an inspirational verse on the inside of your get well soon card.
