This handmade new baby card is made up from scrapbook paper that has a baby theme. It has been made into a birthday card but could easily be adapted to be a new baby card.

To make this new baby card you need to select a sheet of A4 white card stock. I have used hammered card stock as it has added texture. If you do not have this card stock in your card making supplies then basic white card will work just as well.

Cut two strips of pink spotty scrapbook paper and use double sided tape to secure them at each end of the card.
Cut a large square in the front of the card using a scalpel and metal edge ruler.
Cover the square with pink paper and start adding embellishments using double sided tape

Place the embellishments all over the handmade card and make sure some of them overlap the square cut out.

Find a sheet of darker pink scrapbook paper and cut a square slightly larger than the square you have cut out on the front of the baby card.

Place the pink scrapbook paper on the inside of the card using double sided tape to secure it in place.

To give the edge of the square some decoration, run a peel off sticker all the way around it.

This will make the square stand out even more.

Place your happy birthday wishes in the centre of the dark pink square. I have used a scrapbook sticker however you can also stamp this onto the card.
To make this card even more personal, consider adding the child’s name to the centre of your new baby card.

@Gail:
Hi Gail
I’m pleased you liked this card idea. I do try my best to take as many pictures as possible and to explain the process as much as I can.
I hate it when instructions are not clear, it’s one of my pet hates
You have such great ideas
