Begin making this greeting card by folding a sheet of cardstock in half leaving the attached edge along the top.
Draw an apron shape onto the white card and cut out using sharp scissors.
Cut a slightly smaller apron from patterned backing paper. Try to use up any scraps you may have in your card making supplies.
Secure the backing paper in place using double sided tape.
Place a strip of white zig zag ribbon along the bottom of the apron, I used wet glue and held the ribbon in place using some paperclips while it was drying.
Once the ribbon is dry you then need to make a pocket for the front of the apron. Select a piece of blue cardstock from your card making supplies and cut it into a half moon shape.
Use brown cardstock to cut out the shape of a wooden spoon and bend some wire to make a whisk. These will be you embellishments on the front of this greeting card.
Place the half moon in the centre of the apron and attach some more of the zig zag ribbon around it. You can then place your whisk and spoon inside. I would recommend using some double sided tape to secure the utensils to the card.
Once everything is in place you can add your happy birthday wording using stickers.
To finish off your greeting card, punch two holes in the corners of the apron using an eyelet tool. You can then pass some ribbon through the hole and tie a small bow
If you wanted to add additional embellishments or some more utensils you can personalise this happy birthday card even more by adding something the person uses regularly or by adding a quote or saying the recipient uses.
