This with love homemade card idea would suit many occasions including birthdays, Valentines Day and maybe even an anniversary.  This card has a fun theme and a card that children will love to make.

Begin by folding a sheet of A4 red card stock in half using a bone tool to make the fold neat.

To make the border around the edge of the card select a Sizzix border template that will go through a Sizzix Sidekick machine

Place thin black card between the template and the plastic cutting pads.

Slowly pass the pads through the Sizzix machine by turning the handle.

Discard all the leftover card so you are left with your border. You will need to do this several times so that you have enough borders cut out to go all the way around the front of the card.

Use a strong glue to attach the border around the edge of the card.

Once you have finished making the border of your homemade card it is time to add the main embellishment which is a decoupage topper. Assemble a large 3d decoupage image of your choice using 3d foam pads.

Mat and layer the decoupage image onto corresponding colour card stock using double sided tape and leave a small border.
Use double sided tape or 3d foam to attach the finished decoupage card topper to the front of the card.

Finally add some peel off stickers for your with love wording, and you should now have a really fun to make homemade card.
