The first thing you will need to do is pick out some papers that correspond with each other.
Fold an A4 sheet of white card stock in half and cut a strip of striped scrapbook paper to place on the left hand side. Secure it in place using double sided tape.
I used a Fiscars circle template to cut several different size circles in a mixture of craft papers.
Randomly place the circles over the front of the card stock, overlapping each one slightly to give a collage effect.
Remove any white card that is showing so the outside edge is the shape of the circles.
I used a pre-cut cupcake decoupage to make up the cupcakes on the card. If you do not have this in your card making supplies you could always use a cupcake stamp to make your own or if you have access to a computer print off some cup cake images and use the image as your template.
Once the cupcakes have been made use glitter to jazz them up and finish them off.
Place two of the cup cakes inside the outside circles on the front of the card. Because the cupcakes are already 3d you can use double sided tape to secure them in place.
Place a length of white organza ribbon down the folded side of the card and tie a knot near the top.
Use a Sizzix side kick machine and cutter for the ‘Happy Birthday’ wording and secure it in place near the top of the card. A glue pen is a good adhesive to use for this lettering.
A Sizzix sidekick machine is a great investment for any card maker. It is a compact gadget that is so simple to use.
The template I used has a really nice font and is something I have used over and over again for both scrap booking and card making
The sidekick machine has so many templates including patterns and words so you will not find it hard to find something that’s suits the card you are making.
Once you have placed your happy birthday wording on the card you should now have a really professional looking homemade card that is bright and fun.
