To make it more personal you can simply add the age of the recipient if the card is for say a young girl’s birthday.
You will need to find a sheet of 12×12″ scrapbook card which has a darker shade of pink to that used on the front of the card. Then cut three separate thicknesses of this card.
You could also add alternative embellishments such as brads, metal embellishments or epoxy stickers.
The dark pink strips of card have been placed down the left hand side starting with the thickest strip. I used sticky dots to attach the dark pink strips to the card.
You may at this point want to add some glitter to the fairy to make her sparkle.
Your decoupage image then needs to be attached to the front of the card using double sided tape. The image is quite large so I decided that no other embellishments were needed for this homemade card.
Here I have left the card plain with no wording. If you wish to make the card more personal use peel off stickers, rub-ons or print the wording from a computer onto paper or card.
The advantage of using a computer is you can change the font of the wording as well as change the size, and you do not have to keep to pre-set wordings.
