This homemade get well soon card has been made using Paper Nation decoupage prints. Paper Nation produces some really bright and bold decoupage prints to cater for all your decoupage ideas.
Paper Nation decoupage is typically quite straightforward to put together as the images are large and there are only a few parts to place together.
Begin by folding an A4 sheet of white card in half.
Here, I have used a hammered cardstock which has a slight texture. If you do not have hammered cardstock in your card making supplies then plain cardstock will be fine.
Use any backing paper you have preferably some paper that matches the get well soon theme of your card. Place this onto the hammered white card using double sided tape. Cut your paper out slightly smaller than the white hammered card to give you get well soon card a border.
Put together your decoupage prints image using 3d foam. If you are not sure how to decoupage please read my article on decoupage prints and Ideas for a step by step walkthrough on how to decoupage.
You will then need to mount your decoupage prints onto white card and red cardstock. If you have already used a textured card then do so again here. Cut the upper layers where the decoupage prints stick directly onto slightly smaller so it leaves a frame around the decoupage.
Do the same process for both decoupage prints.
Use a printer to print your wording. This makes the wording neat and tidy as well as allowing you to select any font, and font size you desire.
You can leave your get well message simple as I have done here, or personalise your message and perhaps add a get well poem.
Print your get well soon message on to the same card that you have used for mounting your decoupage prints onto.
Use a scalpel and metal ruler to cut the wording out.
Using the off cuts of card left over from the decoupage frames mount your get well soon message onto red and white card. Repeat the process once more to build up the frame around the get well soon message.
Doing this will make sure your get well soon message does not get lost in the overall detail of the card and remains the focal point above the decoupage prints.
Arrange each piece on the card as above.
This is a slightly humorous get well soon card idea which should cheer any poorly person up.
