Wedding cards are always easy to make as they have pretty much standard themes and if you are struggling to find what to write in a wedding card there a many resources that will help you with your wedding card sentiments.

This is a really lovely wedding card that can easily be created using different papers and different rubber stamps. You can use up all those off cuts you have laying around in your card making supplies to make this really nice, and really cheap to make card.

I started off with a sheet of scrapbook paper which I cut to fit a sheet of A4 card which would be folded in half. I used Diecuts with a View Luxury 12 Inch by 12 Inch Paper Stack. At this point I considered adding some glitter but decided that the pattern was nice enough as it is.

You may decide to jazz up your scrapbook paper depending on how it looks to start with.

I then found a wedding themed rubber stamp that I had in my card making supplies. You can of course use any stamp you wish but in this case I used a wedding cake stamp which I felt would look really good on the front of the card.

I used a deep red ink pad because I felt it would work well with the colours of the background paper. I used a clear embossing powder to create the raised embossed image in order that the red ink could be seen better.

You could always colour the stamped image in however I decided to leave it as it was. Once you have prepared you stamped image simply mat and layer it onto red and then silver card.

Finally place your topper onto a much larger piece of pink scrapbook paper using 3d foam to make it prominent.

I placed the mat and layered image in the top corner of the card using double sided tape. You could use 3d foam here; however take card not to make your embellishments stand too proud as this can sometimes cause problems when trying to get the card in an envelope or stand up properly.

Next it is time to add the wedding card verses.

For this handmade card idea I have left the wording simple. I placed a peel off sticker with the wording ‘congratulations’. If you do not have one to hand you could try printing your wedding card sayings using a computer.

This will allow you to change both the font and size of the wedding card verse to your own preference.

I have placed the peel off sticker onto pink scrapbook paper.

Next, place the wording onto silver mirror card, or you could use a silver border peel of instead.

The wording was attached to the card using 3D foam and placed underneath the stamped image.

If you wanted to make this card smaller then simply reduce everything and either use a smaller stamp or the same stamp and change the depth of the borders around the image.
