This is a really pretty handmade card idea that uses up very little of your card making supplies. It is quite a small card which can be made bigger depending on the size of the scrapbook paper you have to hand.

Because the square card is quite small it was a great opportunity to dig out some scraps of scrapbook paper and use them up. I found this flowery piece of scrap paper that looked like it would work well with the lilac card I had already selected, and cut it to size.

Cut the paper slightly smaller than the front of the card.

Place a brad through the holes which works to hold the fold in place. I used a Making Memories purple flower brad that fits in with the colours of the scrapbook paper.

I then found a small strip of ribbon that was perfect for the front of this handmade card idea. The colours matched really well. I tied a knot on one side of the ribbon and attached it to the front of the card using strong double sided tape.

You will need to tuck the ends of the ribbon around the back of the card and secure it in place using normal tape. The tape will be hidden when the paper is attached to the front of the card.

I wanted to add some wording on the front of this handmade card so after a rummage around in my card making supplies I found this ‘with love’ peel off sticker. I placed the peel off sticker onto an off cut of the same paper I used for the front of the card. I then used a border peel off to make the edges bold.

Use 3D foam to attach the wording to the front of the card to give it a raised effect.
