“I just started with a rectangle and folded it in towards the middle to have a central opening. I then cut out a neckline and shoulders and cut out sleeves which were attached with double sided tape. Ribbon offcuts were used for trimming the sleeves and for the bow at the neck (so the card still opens, I attached the bow on one side of the card with a bit of double sided tape) then decorated sleeves and bow with jewel butterflies”

‘Untied the Knot’. I thought with the rate of divorces these days a card would be appropriate. The basic card is 145 sq in smooth white. The striped paper is the Cristina Re Paris Striped reversal paper The lady I stamped and embossed with Black Opal. I cut out the image and mounted it on the card. The contract on the shopping bags is done with Chiyogami paper ‘Red Flowers on Blue’. The hat was decorated it a bit of red feather and a clear crystal diamante. The flowers the black & red flowers were done with a punch and there is a seed bead in the centre.

I started making cards about 10 months ago. I started with Christmas cards then moved on to all kinds of occasion cards. I really enjoy making cards and giving them away to family and friends. I love this site where I get alot of ideas and get really creative. All the cards are so beautiful. Thank you all for sharing your cards with all of us.
