Christmas Card Ideas - Christmas Stamped Images
.jpg)
This Christmas card idea is made from an A4 piece of card folded in half. For this I used a bone tool and paper folder to score a straight line down the middle of the A4 card.
I used white card but you can use what ever you have in your card making supplies.
Use the bone tool to make the fold neat and tidy.
I then found a piece of blue Brazil 12 x 12 scrapbooking paper which I cut slightly smaller than the front of the white card.
Before attaching the blue card to the white card I carefully inked around the edge using a blue inkpad. This softens the edges of the blue card and hides any snags or white bits that may appear after the card has been cut.
I placed double sided tape on the back of the blue card
Next I attached it to the front of the white card, applying even pressure to make sure it has been stuck down properly.
I then had a look through my card making supplies for some appropriate Christmas themed rubber stamps. I selected four rubber stamps and arranged them on the front of the card to ensure the stamped image would fit nicely on the card.
I used a Stazon jet black ink pad to ink the rubber stamps. It is always best to dab the ink pad over the stamp rather than pressing the stamp into the ink as this applies an even coverage of ink.
I then stamped the images onto white card. Because the Stazon ink is fast drying it was dry within seconds. This is not very good if you wanted to emboss the image but in this case I didn’t so it worked fine.
You can use whatever you have handy in your card making supplies to colour the images or alternatively just leave them black and white if you wish. I used my sons colouring pencils just to give a very slight amount of colour.
I then mounted each stamped image onto dark blue Brazil card and cut the card out leaving a small edge.

I then repeated the process with silver card.
I then placed some double sided tape on the back of the framed images
I attached the framed rubber stamped images attached them to the front of the card leaving a gap down the centre.
I originally wanted to place some ribbon down the centre of the card however I found some Christmas confetti in my card making supplies, the kind you find scattered on party tables, which I thought would work much better with this Christmas card idea.
I used small 3D foam pads to attach the silver snowflakes to the front of the card
Using 3D foam really makes it stand out and gives the card depth.

I really simple handmade Christmas card idea which can be changed over and over again
